Developing the people and skills needed to tackle maternity inequalities
The MDC will provide an innovative and transformative capacity development programme of career development awards and opportunities, linked and embedded within the Consortium’s research areas.
The programme will grow inclusive, long-term research capacity and expertise, particularly within underrepresented disciplines, professions and underserved communities. We aim to inspire and support the next generation of researchers with the skills and experience needed to work across clinical, practice and research sectors.
Our ambition is to develop the next generation of maternity disparities research leaders, strengthen the workforce to deliver and sustain impact across the UK, and contribute to priorities including the Women’s Health Strategy for England and 10 Year Health Plan for England.
